SOLUTION: The image display device 10 comprises a display unit 12 and a controller 14 and the display unit 12 comprises image display media 16A to 16D having different display characteristics. The controller 14 includes a control part 34, a voltage applying unit 36, a memory 38, a medium data memory 40, an image memory 42, an input part 44, and a display part 46. The medium data memory 40 is stored with medium data including arrangement position data on the respective image display media and display characteristic data. The control part 34 generates divided image data by dividing image data inputted from the input part 33. When the divided image data are generated, the divided image data are properly corrected according to the divided image data so that differences of display characteristics among the respective image display media are absorbed.
