摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce the wear of a printer wire and to increase the sensitivity to a bar code by a method wherein an organic dye having an absorption band in a near infrared part is compounded in an infrared absorbing ink ribbon. CONSTITUTION:An infrared absorbing printer ink ribbon is formed by applying or infiltrating an oil-soluble ink containing 0.1-10wt.% infrared absorbing organic dye into a base cloth. As the soft infrared absorbing organic dye having an absorption band in a near infrared part, an aluminum compound shown by a formula I or II is exemplified. The use of this aluminum compound or the like realizes an absorption in an infrared region without using a carbon black. This compound has an effect of preventing the corrosive wear of esp. a metal and is advantageous for reducing the wear of a printer wire. The infrared absorbing organic dye is compounded in the oil soluble ink having a normal composition by a predetermined amount, and this compound is applied to a nylon 6 cloth, a nylon 6, 6 cloth, a silk cloth, or the like, thereby establishing an absorption band in a near infrared part. In this manner, a printer ink ribbon that can be used as a bar code printing ink ribbon and never causes the wear of a printer wire can be obtained.
