      SOLUTION: A printer device 10 arranges color patches (in the order of dot area rates) so that a change in area rate of adjoining color patches of similar colors (B-color or R-color) lessens in respective image areas, and prints a test image 8 with black color patches 804 inserted in positions (boundary positions between first and second image areas 80A and 80B) where adjoining color patches change in color. This can lessen a cavity effect since a change in area ratio is minor in each of image areas 80. Further, the size of the test image 8 (test chart) can be lessened while suppressing the cavity effect by disposing black patches only at positions where the constitution of color components greatly changes.
