    • PURPOSE:To set fuel at a specific position by providing a fuel orientation device which drives and rotates a gripper gripping the fuel from outside a nuclear reactor and a fuel discriminating device which discriminates the discrimination pattern of a fuel top part. CONSTITUTION:An orientation rod 8 is connected to the gripper 4 from above a main body barrel 1 while a pantagraph arm 3 is folded. The fuel is positioned at the specific position by rotating the gripper 4 by a fuel rotary driving mechanism 6. The fuel discriminating device 9 is fitted horizontally to the lower end of the main body barrel 1 opposite the discrimination pattern of the fuel 5, and an ultrasonic wave transmitter and a receiver are provided. The gripper 4 engages the fuel 5 and can move up and down, and an ultrasonic wave is sent to above the fuel 5 from the device 9 toward an annular discrimination pattern. Its reflected wave is received to discriminate the kind of the fuel 5. The gripper 4 grips the fuel 5 in a hold-down tube 2 and a rod 8 is lowered to position the fuel 5 in a specific direction by a fuel rotating mechanism 6.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lighten a burden of work on an operator who handles a load object.SOLUTION: A remote handling device 1000 includes a joy stick device 110, a load lifting device 130, and a reaction force control part 100. The joy stick device has a reaction force generation device 116 which generates operation reaction force through a stick 112 for manual operation reception. The reaction force control part includes one or both of a pulse reaction force control part 104 and a deviation reaction force control part 106. The pulse reaction force control part calculates a time change rate component of a dynamic load value of a load object 500, and outputs a reaction force command signal SRF indicative of a reaction command value for generating pulse reaction force. The deviation reaction force control part calculates a deviation quantity component of the dynamic load value from a static load value, and outputs a reaction force command signal SRF indicative of a reaction force command value for generating reaction force. The present invention is applicable to an auxiliary device 1200 added to an existing remote handling device.

As the upper core mechanism 3 is remoted from the core 1 with a guide tube elevation driver 11 during fuel exchange and the arm of refueling machine 7 is extended and contracted to access the whole core 1 region, rotation plug is unnecessary and the whole reactor weight is reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To change a reactor core component by a short arm by placing a pantagraph type refueling machine on a small rotary plug. CONSTITUTION:A small rotary plug 4 is in a large rotary plug 3 in a shielding plug 8 of the upper part of a reactor vessel 11, and it is eccentric against the plug 3. Also, a close coupled type refueling machine 2 is placed in the center of a reactor upper part mechanism 5 being eccentric against this plug 4, and can move upward and downward. This refueling machine 2 reaches a reactor core component 12 of the center part of a reactor core 7, takes them up and transfers them to an in-pile relay position P. Also, a pantagraph arm type refueling machine 1 is placed in the outside of the mechanism 5 in the plug 4, and sets the element 12 of the center part of the reactor core 7 to the outside of an arrival range. Next, the element 12 transferred to the position P and other element 12 than the center part of the reactor core 12 are taken up in a state that a pantagraph arm 14 remains folded up, and by stretching the arm 14, the element 12 is transferred to an in-pile relay tank 6 in order to take it into or out of the outside of the reactor. In such a way, the element 12 has a self-orientation function.
