    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure positional information and radioactivity accurately by receiving signals from a plurality of distributed radio transmitters every time when a radiation measuring unit movable in a work area performs a measurement thereby obtaining the information of measuring position. SOLUTION: A radiation measuring unit employs a portable dosimeter, e.g. an ionization chamber survey meter or a patrol meter, having a radiation measuring section and a radio receiving section. At least three radio transmitters 7-10 are provided on each operation floor 1 and the radio receiving section receives radio signals 11-14 from the transmitters 7-10 and calculates an angle and a distance thus determining a radioactivity measuring point 6. The survey meter comprises a memory for storing the radiation measurements and the position of the measuring point 6. Since a plurality of transmitters 7-10 are provided, an obstacle existing at an intermediate position can be covered by other signals. According to the arrangement, the measuring point 6 can be determined accurately and automatically.

    • PURPOSE:To allow a skilled worker to undertake a work and shorten a working time by reducing an exposure amount for a work at a place where the dose rate of a radiation is high. CONSTITUTION:At a pre-work meeting, an instruction is given for a worker to stay away as far as possible from a pipe line 2, a valve 1, a recirculation pump 4 or the like as large equipment, and a piping section is irradiated in orange color or the like over an area 12, using a laser beam emitter 11. As a result, it can be understood that a work should be undertaken at a place away from the pile line 2 or the pump 4. Furthermore, a worker overhauls and checks a valve 3 from the opposite side of the valve 1. In this case, a laser beam has high directivity, and can indicate only the required irradiation section of plant equipment as an object in an efficient and concentrated way, in line with the shape of the equipment.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a monitoring device for concn. of radioactivity which does not cause radioactivity contamination due to splashes by providing a cover which is a means of protecting the detecting surface of a radioactivity detector against the splashes of flowing water while the flowing water is unstable. CONSTITUTION:In an initial stage when waste water 100 contg. radioactive materials is supplied from a waste water supply system, the shape of flowing water 101 released through a releasing nozzle 8 is unstable, and the detecting surface 15' of a radioactivity detector 15 is vulnerable to radioactivity contamination by splashes. Therefore, the detector 15 is beforehand moved in a home position where it goes apart from the inspecting position until the water 101 stabilizes. At the point of the time when the flowing water stabilizes, a cylinder 18 is operated to bring the detector 15 close to the water 101 and to set it in the inspecting position by means of a piston rod 19 and a pallet 20. Thence, the detector 15 is operated to detect the concn. of radioactivity of the waste water 100 and the signal thereof is put into a signal processing circuit 16, by which it is subjected to data processing; thereafter, it is recorded in a recorder 17. Thereby, the contamination of the detector 15 is prevented.
