When performing the double-side recording, after rewinding the continuous paper with the front surface recorded with the rolling-back mechanism, the recording is performed on the rear surface of the continuous paper by making the rear surface of the continuous paper located opposite to a recording surface 41a of the recording head by the inverting means and feeding the continuous paper from the paper feeding part.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of sheets of a recording medium which records a correction pattern, and correction value determination processes based on the correction pattern while maintaining the correction precision of a conveyance amount of the recording medium in a recorder.
      SOLUTION: Recording of the correction pattern is carried out by conveying the recording medium by a U-turn conveyance path. The correction pattern is recorded to a position L1 in LF recording by conveyance of a conveyance roller. The correction pattern is recorded to a position E1 in EJ recording by conveyance of a paper discharge roller thereafter. When the above recording is finished, the recording medium is sent back to an ASF. The recording medium is conveyed by a conveyance path which feeds the recording medium by the ASF, and recording of the correction pattern is carried out. In other words, recording of the correction pattern is carried out to a position L2 in LF recording. Next, the correction pattern is recorded to a position E2 in EJ recording. Thus the correction patterns related to both the U-turn conveyance path and the ASF conveyance path, or a plurality of the correction patterns of the same initial phase related to EJ recording can be recorded to one recording medium.
