    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a camera provided with a vibration-proof function capable of analyzing vibration peculiar to the camera and preventing image blurring by detecting force exerted on the release operation member of the camera and preventing the image blurring based on the detection output. SOLUTION: If operating physical force exerted on a release button 13 is strong, rolling shake is decided to be predominant when the output from a shaft vibration detection means 115 is large and it is judged to be made approximate to shift shake when the output from the means 115 is small. When a pressure detection means and the means 115 detect the shift shake to which shake correction can be performed, a camera microcomputer 11 generates estimated waveform to correct the shake and synthesizes it with the shake correction lens driving target value of a vibration detection means 113 so as to drive to perform the shake correction of a shake correction lens. Namely, the image blurring is corrected by detecting the operating physical force exerted on the button 13 by the pressure detection means and performing the shake correction with the output from the means 113.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent image deterioration from being caused by the malfunction of a vibration-proof device occurring because a camera is shaken to such an extent that shake correction is impossible by controlling the vibration-proof device according to the difference of operation time between an operation means for starting photographing preparation action and an operation means for starting photographing action. SOLUTION: The vibration-proof device is controlled according to the difference of the operation time between the operation means for starting the photographing preparation action and the operation means for starting the photographing action. In this camera, an s1 signal for starting the photographing preparation action, that is, photometry and range-finding is generated by half-depressing a release operation member 303, and an s2 signal for starting the photographing action(exposing action) is generated by fully depressing the member 303. Whether the shake having different characteristic is caused by the strong operation of the member 303 is detected according to an operation interval between the half depressing and the full depressing of the member 303, that is, a time interval between the s1 signal and the s2 signal so as not to perform the shake correction.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a sensor and to improve detection accuracy by arranging a signal-generating member in parallel with the plane of a weight part and accommodating the length of the signal-generating member being extended radially within the range of the length in the plane direction of the weight part. SOLUTION: A beam 12d that is a strain-voltage conversion member for generating a resistance change due to, for example, a semiconductor strain gauge for generating a signal according to acceleration and angular velocity being applied to an inertia disk 11 is provided. A signal being generated by a pair of beams 12d is amplified by each amplifier 13 and is subjected to arithmetic processing by an addition circuit 14 and a differential circuit 15. Since the beams 12d are extended from an area near the center of gravity of the inertial disk 11, the space of the inertia disk 11 can be used to the limit for the size of the entire inertia sensor, so that the partial inertial force can be fully utilized. Also, the size needs to be only the length of the diameter of the inertia disk 11, thus miniaturizing a sensor. Further, the beams 12d are extended from an area near the center of gravity of the inertia disk 11 irrespective of the shape thereof, thus extending the length of the beams 12d and improving sensitivity.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly execute the locking and the unlocking of a vibration- proof function so as to prevent a situation that photographing cannot be performed by a locking release error by preventing an elastic member from energizing a locking part in a locking direction when the locking part is at a position where its movement is restricted by a restricting member. SOLUTION: An optical holding means 75 holding an optical device and driving it in a direction orthogonal to an optical axis is attached to a supporting means 71 fixed in a lens barrel so that it can be driven. The locking and the unlocking of the driving of the holding means 75 are performed by the turning operation of the locking part 719, and the elastic member 728 making the locking part 719 abut on a part of the restricting member 726 so as to control the turning range of the locking part 719 and energizing the locking part 719 in the locking direction is provided. When time locking part 719 is at the position where its movement is regulated by the restricting member 726, the elastic member 728 does not energize the locking part 719 in the locking direction. In such a case, especially, the abutting surfaces of the locking part 719 and the restricting member 726 are formed as surface opposed shape, so that the locking and the unlocking are performed with high reliability.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothen the restraining and nonrestraining of a vibration proof function by abutting a restraining member, so as to limit the turning range of the driving and restraining part of an optical holding means and coating the abutting surface with fats and oils. SOLUTION: The locking ring 719 of a restraining means is attached to the base plate 71 of a base plate part through a bayonet. The locking ring 719 is turned in a locking direction, to be inserted into the base plate 71 and rotated in a locking releasing direction, to be attached through the bayonet and its fall-off is prevented by a locking rubber 726, to obtain a stable restraining device having excellent assemblability and a small actuating noise. A coil 720 in a part where the mass of the locking ring 719 is concentrated is received by the locking rubber 726, to prevent a deterioration in the tone quality of the noise produced during operation and the deformation of the locking ring 719 during operation. Moreover, the abutting surfaces of the locking rubber 726 and the locking ring 719 are coated with the fats and oils (silicone fats and oils). The sticking of the locking rubber 726 and the locking ring 719 is prevented with the fats and oils, to always stably release the locking.

    • PURPOSE: To prevent the increase of the entire length of a lens and to efficiently house and hold a base plate by properly arranging the position of the base plate and electronic circuits mounted thereon, in accordance with the height of the electronic circuits, on the base plate, in the case of housing/holding it in a part of a casing. CONSTITUTION: The base plate (IC base line) 12 is constituted of a doughnutlike thin sheet metal and housed/held in the casing (a lens barrel), to make the surface of the base plate nearly perpendicular to the optical. axis La of the photographic lens. Thus, the base plate 12 is housed/held in the casing, to face the lens surface of a part, of the photographic lens. In other words, when the lens surface facing the base plate 12 is of a convex face, a space in an axial direction formed by the convex face and the base plate 12 becomes gradually larger, as it goes to the peripheral part, of the lens, so that the base plate 12 is provided with higher electronic circuits 16 and 17, as it goes to the peripheral region of the base plate 12 and lower electronic circuits 14 and 15, as it goes to the central region. Thus, the electronic circuits provided on the base plate 12 complement the space in the axial direction.
