CONSTITUTION:In forming a polyurethane paint film on a golf ball for protecting the surface thereof, two-pack polyurethane paint with tertiary amine as catalyst is painted on the surface of the golf ball. The setting of the polyurethane paint is accelerated by the tertiary amine so that the paint can be set at a low temperature in a short baking time, for example at 30-50 deg.C in 40 minutes of baking time. Then, the setting of the paint is further accelerated by blending tin-base accelerator with the paint. Thus, natural rubber, synthetic rubber, ionomer resin, etc., of the golf ball blank are prevented from thermal degradation by enabling the setting to be performed at a low temperature in a short time.
