摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curtain airbag device that can expand and deploy at an end of a cushion protector near to an inflator without causing the cushion section to burst.SOLUTION: The curtain airbag device 100 is stored at an upper part of a vehicle compartment side surface and includes: a cushion 140 which extends in the forward/rearward direction of the vehicle, is stored while being coiled from the bottom end towards the top end, and expands and deploys downwards when gas is supplied thereto; an inflator 120 which supplies gas to the cushion from a predetermined position at the top end of the cushion; and a protector 180 which is an elongate protector having an arcuate open-curve cross section that opens downwardly, contacts the cushion at the inner surface and covers the cushion. At a first end 180A near to the inflator 120, an end point P at the vehicle interior side of the open-curve which forms the cross section of the protector rises gently and the aperture of the open-curve expands.
