    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fitting female terminal which exhibits superior repulsive force of a spring strip even for the type miniaturized using flexible materials with excellent processability, reduces the number of manufacturing steps, and prevents breakage due to a bending process, as well as to provide a manufacturing method for such a fitting female terminal. SOLUTION: Within a fitting tubular part 12a having an insertion port 14 for a fitting male terminal tab 42 at one open end, a fitting female terminal 10 is provided with a curved spring strip 24a for clip-holding the fitting male terminal tab 42 to be inserted through the insertion port 14, wherein the hard plating is only applied to the inner side surface 34a on a curved part 26a which contributes to the spring performance of the spring strip 24a. As a manufacturing method, the tin plating is applied to the top surface of a strip material to be formed into the shape of the fitting female terminal 10, then the hard plating is only applied to the portion corresponding to the inner side surface 34a of the curved part 26a which contributes to the spring performance of the spring strip 24a on the tin-plated strip material. Subsequently, a section bar for the fitting female terminal 10 is punched out of the hard-plated strip material to perform the bending process for forming into the shape of the fitting female terminal 10. In the method for producing an aluminum material for a connector terminal, the heat treatment temperature and the heat treatment hour in forming the reflow tin plating layer are 230-330°C and 35-65 seconds, respectively. There is also provided a method for manufacturing a connector terminal that comprises a base material of a heat treatment type aluminum alloy subjected to tempering before aging heat treatment. There are further provided: an aluminum material for a connector terminal, comprising a base material having a tensile strength of 200 MPa or more and an elongation of 5% or more; and a connector terminal.
