摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily produce a test piece for calibration which can stably perform the calibration of a seam defect inspection machine with high precision.
SOLUTION: In the seam defect inspection machine, in order to inspect the seam defect of a can having a seam part, to the upper edge of the seam in the can, illumination light is made into a uniform ring shape from the upper part, and, in a state where irradiation is performed at a prescribed irradiation angle, the edge face of the can is imaged, thus a ring image at the upper end of the seam is acquired, and, on the basis of the change state of the ring width in the ring image, the presence of a seam defect is inspected. The test piece used for the calibration of the seam defect inspection machine is produced by obtaining the reflection properties to illumination light in the upper end of the seam in the seam defect part, and forming a flat reflection face part on the optional part at the upper part of the seam in the seam part on the basis of the reflection properties.

After a mark of a manufacturing factory and information on a use-by date printed on the back label 47 are searched from the image data, other information is searched with the position of the former information as a reference position. Whether printed characters are good or not is determined based on a degree to which the searched data and registered data match.
