    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spiral spring capable of reducing the maximum value of stress, and reducing a variation in a stress distribution.SOLUTION: A spiral spring 1 can be elastically deformed from a minimally-deformed state to a maximally-deformed state. In the maximally-deformed state, the spiral spring has a non-contact section in which at least part of portions of a spring material S which are radially adjacent to each other are not in contact with each other, and a contact section C in which all portions of the spring material S which are radially adjacent to each other are in contact with each other. In the maximally-deformed state, when a line which connects the center O of the spiral shape of a spiral section 21 and an outer contact section B where an outer end 22 and an outer mate object 4 are in contact with each other is referred to as a reference line L, an inner reference section (A) is disposed at the radial inside of the spiral section 21 in a zone having center angles of 80° to 160° with the center O of the spiral shape as a center along a direction in which the spiral section 21 extends. The contact section C is disposed at the radial outside of the inner reference section (A).
