That is, color misregistration of the color image forming apparatus is suppressed by controlling the pressure applied by the transfer sheet 5a in accordance with the temperature of the transfer sheet 5a detected by a thermistor 49a and by reducing the applied pressure when the temperature of the transfer sheet 5a is high.
