摘要： A sensor body is interposed between a leg bracket and a lower rail and detects a seat load. A plate member of the sensor body is a unit including a circular strain element having an axial line in the vertical direction and a substrate extending radially from the strain element. An outer circumferential support member is attached to the leg bracket to hold the outer circumferential edge of the strain element. An inner circumferential support member is attached to the lower rail to hold the inner circumferential edge of the strain element. The strain element includes a strain gauge configured to output a signal in accordance with the load in the axial direction of the strain element on the basis of the distortion between the outer and inner circumferences. The substrate includes an electric circuit electrically connected the strain gauge and configured to process the output signal from strain gauge.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load detection device for a vehicle seat, capable of preventing internal stress due to press-fitting of a shaft member from being generated in a strain-generating member. SOLUTION: The shaft members 30, 40 are press-fitted to holes 21-23 of the strain generating member 20 to which strain gauges G1 and G2 are attached. The shaft members 30, 40 includes shaft bodies 32, 42 press-fitted to the holes 21-23 from openings at one side of the holes 21-23 and head parts 31, 41 provided integrally at one end side of the shaft bodies 32, 42 and engaged with the holes 21-23. The shaft bodies 32, 42 include: scraping projecting parts 32b, 42b formed so as to include surface hardness lower than that of the holes 21-23 of the strain generating member 20 and scraped off by the holes 21-23; and non-press-fitting parts 32a, 42a adjacent to the scraping projecting part 32b, 42b in the circumferential direction and not imparting mutual pressure in gaps to the holes 21-23. Clearance spaces accommodating the scraped parts of the scraping projecting part 32b, 42b are formed between the strain generating member 20 and the shaft members 32, 42 at the openings at one side of the holes 21-23. 摘要： An apparatus for determining a seat occupancy includes a load detecting portion, a seatbelt detecting portion, and a seat occupancy determining portion determining that an adult is seated on the seat in a case where a seating load equal to or greater than a predetermined first load is detected and determining a child seat placed state where a child seat is placed on the seat and fastened by the seatbelt in a case where the seating load smaller than the first load is detected and the engagement of the buckle of the seatbelt is detected. The seat occupancy determining portion maintains a determination result of the child seat placed state even when the seating load becomes equal to or greater than the first load in a case where a predetermined determination result retention condition is satisfied after the child seat placed state is determined.
