The air intake device 40 comprises: an air intake room 41 having the bottom end opening into the tank body 20 and the top end provided with an air intake port 47, the air intake room 41 being formed as a partition of the tank body 20 and vertically extending; a communication passage 42 for communicating with the air intake room 41 and the toilet bowl drainage channel 3; a float member 43 disposed in the air intake room 41 and having predetermined buoyant force; and an on-off valve 44 which closes the air intake port 47A to prevent the air flow from the side of the communication passage 42 to that of the air intake room 41 when the float member 43 rises to the predetermined upper position, and opens the air intake port 47A to allow the air flow from the side of the communication passage 42 to that of the air intake room 41 when the float member 43 falls from the upper position.
