    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-weight exothermic rubber which has durability and generates heat by microwave.SOLUTION: An example of an exothermic rubber is formed of a mixture of silica, silicone polymer, iron oxide and carbon. Since silicone polymer that is a high heat resistant rubber, and silica that is added to increase the hardness of the exothermic rubber do not absorb microwaves, thereby they do not generate heat even if they are irradiated with microwaves. However, iron oxide and carbon generate heat by irradiation with microwaves. The exothermic rubber which generates heat by irradiation with microwaves is obtained on the basis of the properties of these materials. Fluorine resin that is heat-resistant to about 250°C may be used instead of a part or the whole of silicone polymer to which silica is added, and one or more of aluminum oxide, zinc oxide, silicon carbide, or the like may be used instead of a part or the whole of iron oxide and carbon.
