    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a construction cost and to shorten a working time by enlarging the spacing of holes for inserting breaking devices by cracking a concrete body with the operating pressure of a small hydraulic cylinder.
      SOLUTION: Holes of ϕ150 mm are bored in the concrete body 10 along a predetermined breaking line 11 to a bottom part by core boring to form holes 1 at the spacing of 2,000 mm. Slits 2 are formed at both sides of the holes 1 from the open side of the holes 1 down to the bottoms of the holes 1 in alignment with the predetermined breaking line 11 of a cutter. When a hydraulic breaking device is inserted in the hole 1 and operated, the concrete body 10 is broken along the slits 2. Since stress is concentrated on the slits, the tensile strength of concrete becomes 1/5, and the number of the hydraulic breaking devices is reduced while breaking with small force to reduce the scatter of broken pieces and the occurrence of noise during breaking.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a bridge girder formed of precast concrete girder in a short period and at a low cost by preventing cooling exhaust water from outflowing into the environment by reducing cut sections necessary for cooling water.
      SOLUTION: Both ends of a PC steel member 11 where mutual precast concrete girders 1 are tightly connected are cut off to make free the connected state. A cutting groove 3 with 15 cm depth is formed by a cutter in an infilling concrete 2 between the precast concrete girders 1, spring out cooling slurry water is suck out by vacuum to collect the whole slurry water so as not to outflow into the environment. Plate jacks 4 are set at every appropriate interval in the cutting groove 3. A liquid is injected with a pressure into the plate jacks 4 to expand them and separate the precast concrete girders 1 of the side ends. The separated precast concrete girders 1 are lifted up by a crane and remove them. Respective precast concrete girders 1 are removed by repeating the process.

When the bag body 22 is enlarged for the expansion, upper and lower surfaces of the bag body 22 are brought into close contact with those of the cut groove 20, respectively, so that an upper-side load of the concrete structure 10 can be supported from below.
