SOLUTION: In the matting method of the ornament having the ornamental surface having indentations or the like, matting is performed by a process wherein 18-carat bullion is melted to be at a prescribed molten metal temperature and the molten bullion is cast into the mold face of a manufacturing mold which is prepared in the shape of a product to be obtained and is kept at a prescribed mold temperature, so as to make a base product, a primary polishing process wherein the base product is subjected to electrolytic polishing for a prescribed time, a heating process wherein the whole base product subjected to the primary polishing is heated to a desired temperature, a cooling process wherein the heated base product is subjected to air cooling or slow cooling in the atmosphere and a secondary polishing process wherein the surface of the base product is subjected to bright polishing thereafter.
