    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agricultural film excellent not only in tear strength and tensile elongation but also in physical properties (strength and impact resistance) at a low temperature, visual appearance, light transmittance and processing characteristics. SOLUTION: The vinyl chloride resin film for agriculture is obtained by blending 40-60 pts.wt. of a plasticizer with 100 pts.wt. of a vinyl chloride resin which has an average degree of polymerization of 1,650 or higher and lower than 1,750 and has a relational expression 1.9≤Mw/Mn≤2.3 between the weight- average molecular weight (Mw) and the number-average molecular weight (Mn). The film with a thickness of 0.1 mm has: (a) impact strength at -15°C of 0.5 J or higher; (b) Elmendorf tear strength at 23°C of 7.5 N or higher; and (C) tensile elongation at break of 300% or greater.       SOLUTION: The polyolefin resin composition comprises 100-70 pts.wt. of a copolymer of ethylene and 3-12C α-olefin manufactured by polymerization using a metallocene catalyst, 0-30 pts.wt. of an olefin elastomer, 5-70 pts.wt. of the wood flour having a mean grain diameter of 200-10,000 μm, 0.5-10 pts.wt. of the foaming agent, and 0.1-10 pts.wt. of an oxidation inhibitor per 100 pts.wt. in total of the ethylene-α-olefin copolymer and olefin elastomer.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet-screening polyolefin resin multilayer film for agriculture excellent in tone when being formed into a film, the sustained retention capacity of ultraviolet-screening property and weather resistance for a long period.
      SOLUTION: This ultraviolet-screening polyolefin multilayer film for agriculture contains 0.05-1 wt.% of a hindered amine weather-resistant agent in all the layers and a benzotriazole ultraviolet absorber in the middle layer. The result of the relation, [(the rate of content of the ultraviolet absorber in the middle layer)/(the rate of content of the ultraviolet absorber in all the layers)] is ≥140%. The film does not substantially transmit at least ultraviolet of wavelength of ≤370 nm.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydroponic apparatus with an simple constitution at a low production cost, causing no root rot because of supply of air to the roots of a plant, preventing disease and capable of easily reusing liquid manure. SOLUTION: This hydroponic apparatus is so designed that a hydroponic bed is set on the upper half part of a tank with an opened top, a root-proof sheet which passes water but no root is set on the lower surface of the hydroponic bed, and on the other hand, a plurality of projecting members are arranged on the lower half part of the tank so as to contact at least part of the projecting members with the reverse face of the root-proof sheet, a liquid layer in which the surplus of the liquid manure supplied to the hydroponic bed is retained on a level below a fixed level and a given air layer situated on the reverse face of the root-proof sheet are each set on a space formed between the projecting members and a water-absorbing sheet is set so as to be contacted with the contact surface of the liquid layer, the root-proof sheet and the projecting member.
