摘要： PURPOSE: To provide a chuck with some holding modes by providing a connecting part in a front end for connecting an additional holding member engaged with a conical part of an opening to an advancing/retreating cylinder and providing a means for deciding the maximum moving distance in the axial direction of the advancing/retreating cylinder. CONSTITUTION: An opening positioned in the front of the chuck C coaxial thereto is provided with a conical part 40 whose virtual vertex is positioned in the chuck rear part. A connecting part 25 is provided in the front end so as to connect an additional holding member 50 engaged with the conical part of the opening part to an advancing/retreating cylinder 20 and means 60-65 for deciding the maximum moving distance of the advancing/retreating cylinder 20 in the axial direction are provided. This constitution can mount different types of holding member 50 on the same chuck C.

At this point, the pin 6 and stand 5 are slidden in the radial direction of the jaw 3 holding strong energizing force for firmly locking a jaw 21.
