摘要： PURPOSE:To form easily a silver plated waveguide by forming a resin layer in the inner face of a silver plated layer thereby preventing corrosion of the silver plated layer. CONSTITUTION:An aluminum-made core 1 whose cross sectional size is selected as 8.61mmX4.30 is manufactured. A tetrafluoride ethylene resin being a heat resistant resin having small dielectric constant, dielectric loss tangent, moisture permeability, gas permeability and water absorption is selected, its dispersion coating agent is applied to the surface (except the flange) of the core metal 1 by the impregnation method, after the core metal 1 is dried, the result is baked to form a resin layer 2. A silver plating layer 3 is formed on the surface of the resin layer 2 by the sputtering method. After a film adhesives is sticked on the silver plating layer 3, a carbon fiber unidirectional reinforced expoxy resin prepleg is laminated, the laminated substance is heated under a maximum nearly 7kgf/cm to cure the adhesives and the prepleg thereby forming a fiber reinforced plastic 4. After the waveguide thus obtained is masked, the waveguide is immersed in a hydraulic acid to dissolve and remove the core metal 1 to expose the resin layer 2 in the guide inner face.

CONSTITUTION:A chromate film 4 is formed on the surface of a hole 1A pierced in a feedthrough die 1 by immersion in a mixed soln. consisting of 500 parts water, 38 parts potassium dichromate and 15-20 parts sulfuric acid. An optical fiber 2 is passed through the hole 1A, a thermosetting sealing resin 3 is injected into the hole 1A, and the fiber 2 is adhered to the die 1 with the resin 3 in a state in which the film 4 is present between the die 1 and the resin 23. Thus, the feedthrough part is sealed.
