    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect the body from such danger as suffocation over a relatively long time by causing an oxygen generating agent to drop into an oxygen- generating liquid in a container main body by removal of a plug member, and causing oxygen produced by the reaction of the oxygen generating agent with the liquid to be fed to a mask through a hose. SOLUTION: When the lever 29 of an opening member 8 is pulled up, a rod member 27 slides upward, a cord 28 applies tension to a plug member 4, and the plug member 4 is rotated and leaves an opening 3 in a tank member 2. Then an oxygen generating agent 7 in the tank member 2 drops into a liquid 10 in a reaction chamber 13, producing oxygen. The oxygen is allowed into the tank member 2 through the opening 3, and then goes out of the tank member 2 as it passes through a target member 23 via a vent 22. Then the oxygen passes through a clearance 25, goes out into a space inside a cover 38 through a vent 37 in a lid member 12, enters a pipe member 35, passes through a bubble forming member 36, is released into an air washing liquid 39, is accumulated in an oxygen accumulation chamber 14, and supplied to a mask through a hose 6.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the interruption of thermal cracking during its course by covering the outer periphery of a cylindrical heat insulating material packed with an oxygen generating agent with a cylindrical body made of a material having oxygen generating agent resistance and forming a space between the cylindrical body and a housing. SOLUTION: A hammer piston 48 is moved leftward of Fig. by a spring 47 and is brought into collision against a detonator 43 to generate sparks when a label 49 and a pin P are removed. A gunpowder section 33 and an initiator section 34 are then fired and oxygen is kept generated by thermal decomposition. The oxygen of high temp. flows in the outward direction of the diameter along the base of a candle holder 38 and flows leftward of Fig. by passing between the cylindrical body 37 made of the material having corrosion resistance, reaction inactiveness and heat resistance to the oxygen generating agent 32 and the cylindrical heat insulating material 36 and along the heat insulating material 36, thereby heating the candle 32 as the oxygen generating agent. The candle is thermally decomposed from rightward of Fig. and the heat is transferred leftward. The oxygen is thus successively generated and is cooled during the passage through a cylindrical opening 52a and a filter 53. The oxygen is then supplied from cooling and leading-out pipes 57a, 57b. A housing 40 is held at a lower temp. by the air heat insulating part of the space 39.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the area of a sliding part in a plug-opening operation to simplify a seal treatment for maintaining gas-tightness, to smooth a sliding operation at the time of opening the plug and to decrease the quantity of carbon dioxide in a discharged gas flowing backward to an outer container. CONSTITUTION:This emergency respirator is composed of an outer container 1 for containing a medicine, an inner container 2 for containing a liquid for the medicine, a plug body 3 provided between the outer and inner containers for bringing both into contact with each other and a mask 6 communicating with the outer container 1. Further, the outer and inner containers 1 and 2 are mounted in a fixed manner, the plug body 3 is formed into a bar, one end of the bar is projected externally and provided in the manner of being slidable over the inner and outer containers so that both inner and outer containers communicate with each other through the medicinal liquid flow path 32 of the plug body 3 only at the time of an emergency, and an auxiliary chamber 4 containing a carbon-dioxide adsorbent 83 communicating with respective outer container and respirator mask are provided at the outer container.
