CONSTITUTION:At the time of bringing a segment to multicolor display, the number of sub-segments is stored in a sub-segment number store means 121, a picture element value for showing a color of each bus-segment is stored in a picture element value store means 125, and the number of picture elements for showing the length of each sub-segment is stored in a picture element number store means 123. Subsequently, this picture element value and the number of picture elements are read out, and a picture drawing processing for writing the picture element value in a display memory 113 is repeated by the number of picture elements. Also, this picture drawing processing is repeated in accordance with the number of sub-segments. In such a way, picture drawing of the segment of a multicolor can be executed by a single picture drawing processing.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the loss of a contour line to accurately paint out a character by temporarily reading out the logical value of a peculiar point in a peculiar storage means and writing the opposite logical value again and scanning peculiar point data in each row to perform the painting-out processing. CONSTITUTION:An X coordinate 401 and a Y coordinate 402 of a character or a graphic are stored in an X1 latch 405 and a Y1 latch 406 respectively by a strobe signal 403 and are shifted to an X2 latch 407 and a Y2 latch 408 at the time of input of next coordinates. This coordinates data is stored in a contour line recording means MA 415, and it is stored in a peculiar point storage means MB 416 also when coordinates indicate a peculiar point. The logical value of bits stored in the means MB 416 is temporarily read out and it opposite logical value is written again by a substituting means 418. Peculiar point data stored in the means MB 416 is scanned from smallest coordinates with a row as the unit by the means 418, and picture elements between an odd-numbered picture element of '1' and the next picture element of '1' are substituted with '1', and OR between data obtained by the means 418 and contour line data of the means 415 is operated in a means 419 to obtain a final character.

CONSTITUTION:A graphic processing part 4 is equipped with a curve processing part 5 to execute processing to curve the polygonal line, and the curve processing part 5 is composed of a curve dividing part 7, which further determines a mid point between the end points of the curve and calculates the dividing number of the midpoint of the curve, and a curve calculating part 6 to calculate a curve equation and to calculate the coordinates of a point dividing the curve. When the polygonal is curved, at first, the midpoint between the both ends parts is calculated on the curve by the curve equation and the dividing number is determined according to the linear distance between the both end points and the midpoint. Next, the curve between the end point is divided by the dividing number and the coordinates of the dividing point are calculated. Thus, the time required for the curve processing of the polygonal line can be shortened.

When the major axis and the minor axis are decided by the major axis deciding circuit 4, reciprocal values of the distance of the minor axis and the distance of the major axis converted by a reciprocal memory 6 are inputted to a multiplier 7 to calculate the increment value of the distance of the minor axis per unit distance of the major axis. This increment value is added by an accumulator 8 and the result is outputted at each time of adding the value of the unit distance to the distance of the major axis.
