    • PURPOSE:To enable realization of a bioelement imitating plasticity of a brain by a construction wherein an artificial membrane which is constructed by using lipid, or lipid and protein, and resembles a biomembrane is provided between first and second electrolytic solutions. CONSTITUTION:Between electrolytic solutions 35a and 35b, an artificial membrane 31 which is constructed by using lipid, or lipid and protein, and resembles a biomembrane is provided. In one of the electrolytic solutions at least, a ribosome 51 which is made to fuse in membrane with a lipid membrane by Ca ions and a ribosome 52 which contains the Ca ions (to be released by the stimulus of light or a chemical substance) are contained. For the membrane 31, a porous membrane impregnated with the lipid (synthetic lipid dioleylphosphate) is suitable. For the ribosome 52, the one reconstructed of a disk membrane of a visual cell is suitable. By the ribosome 52 releasing the Ca ions, the ribosome 51 fuses with the membrane 31 and thereby the function of the membrane 31 is changed. Accordingly, a substance thus prepared can be regarded as a bioelement which enables attainment of a change similar to the one of a part of conjugation between neurons.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to control the stop, start and the like of oscillation caused by the change in potential of an artificial exciting film by light without contact by adsorbing the mixture of both or either of lipid and a material similar to the lipid and a material, which responds to the light and whose structure is changed in three dimensions, into a supporting body having micro pores. CONSTITUTION:In this exciting film, a mixture comprising the following material is adsorbed in a supporting body having micro pores: both or either of lipid and a material similar to lipid; and a material which responds to light and has the structure that is changed in three dimensions, e.g. azobenzene and the like. The micro pore is impregnated with said mixture. Since the material which responds to the light and has the structure that is changed in three dimensions is contained, the formation of multiple layers of the lipid or the material similar to the lipid in one state of the structure change can be obstructed. Therefore, the micro pore keeps filled with oil droplet, and the penetration through the micro pore can be prevented. As a result, the change in artificial exciting film is blocked, and oscillation can be stopped. Thus the oscillation can be controlled.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the function analogous to vital cells by providing a thin film analogous to living bodies which is changed in ion permeability to generate an electric signal, such as potential oscillation or oscillation pattern change, when stimulated by a stimulating material and sending the electric signal from this thin film to electrodes. CONSTITUTION:This element is constituted by inserting the thin org. film 6 which generates the potential oscillation or the pattern change thereof when stimulated by the stimulating material, such as bitter material like quinine or sweat material like cane sugar, more specifically millipore filter impregnated with oleyl phosphate DOPH, etc., between sq. solns. 4 and 5 of different kinds or the same kind so that the electric signal is generated at both ends of this film 6. The generated electric signal is introduced through a salt bridge 1, a standard electrode 2 and a conductor 3 to the electrodes 8, 9. One of the electrode 8 or 9 executes the taking in and release of ions and chemical materials in an electrolyte 10 by the impulse of the potential change. The electric signal which is obtd. by generating the potential oscillation or changing the oscillation pattern by the stimulating material, is converted to the information transmitting material of the ions and chemical materials and is amplified is sent to the electrode 8 in this way.
