    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a 3-wave compatible optical pickup capable of performing good recording/reproducing by using an objective lens common to three kinds of media of BD, a DVD, and a CD. SOLUTION: The optical pickup for performing reproducing/recording on a disk medium 122 by converging a light emitted from a laser light source on an objective lens 115 is provided with a first laser light source 101 for emitting the light of a wavelength λ1, a second laser light source 102 for emitting the light of a wavelength λ2 longer than the wavelength λ1, a third laser light source 103 for emitting the light of a wavelength λ3 longer than the wavelength λ2, an optical system having an optical path common to the lights emitted from the first to third laser light sources, an objective lens 115 having a lattice groove formed into a concentric circular shape on a refraction surface, and a wavelength selective phase difference element 117, a wavelength selective diffraction element 118, and a wavelength selective aperture element 119 disposed on the laser light source side of the objective lens.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup which has a new tracking error signal detection means which excellently detects a tracking error signal for all optical disks which have a plurality of different kinds in which guiding groove pitches are remarkably different while keeping the offset decreasing effect of a tracking error signal as much as a conventional DPP system, and to provide an optical information recording/reproducing device. SOLUTION: The optical pickup is provided with a laser light source 1, a light branching element 2 which branches laser light emitted from the laser light source 1 into at least three light beams, a focusing optical system 5 which focuses the three light beams with which mutually independent three focused spots are irradiated on the recording face of an optical information recording medium 10 on which the guiding grooves are provided at a prescribed period, and a light detector 20 which independently receives the reflected light beams from the three light spots on the optical information recording medium 10. The distance between two adjacent focused spots among three focused spots in the direction which substantially diagonally crosses the guiding grooves is 0.25 to 0.75 times (except 0.5 times) the period of the guiding grooves.
