    • PURPOSE:To provide a device of simple construction by providing two freely turnable shafts in the north-south directions and the east-west directions, providing photosensors in the opposite directions of these shafts, and turning the two shafts in such a way that the differences in the detected outputs of the opposite photosensors are made zero. CONSTITUTION:The 1st shaft 2 which is freely turnable in the north-south direction, and the 2nd shaft 4 which is freely turnable in the east-west direction are provided. A pair of photosensors LS, LN and LE, LW are provided in the opposite sides of the shafts 2, 4. The light of the light components in the south direction and the north direction is detected by the sensors LS, LN, respectively, and the light of the light components in the east direction and the west direction is detected by the sensors LE, LW, respectively. The differences in the detected outputs of the sensors LS, LN and the sensors LE, LW are made zero by turning the shafts 2, 4, so that a lens system 1 is directed correctly toward the direction of the sun. According to the movement of the sun, the lens system 1 is correctly and automatically tracked.

    • PURPOSE:To raise the maximum value of water temperature, by dividing a heat absorbing section into a first ordinary section and a second section in which the ratio of the quantity of projected heat to the area of heat absorbing surface is increased, and thereby heating water heated in the first section further in the second section. CONSTITUTION:A heat absorbing section consists of a first ordinary section 2 and a second section 3 which is composed of a water container 4 and a heat collecting means 10. The heat collecting means 10 is constituted by a plurality of flat reflector plates 12 and convex lenses 11 which are connected to each other in a cylindrical form, and the ratio of the quantity of projected heat to the area of heat absorbing surface is selected within the range of 2-1.3. With such an arrangement, water heated in the first heat absorbing section 2 is further heated in the second section 3. Therefore, it is enabled to raise the maximum value of water temperture and to increase the amount of hot water supplied while reducing the heat loss of the apparatus.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible with a simple mechanism to control tracking of a light source by sensing with many light receiving elements directly reading light beam and detecting the position of the light source. CONSTITUTION:A light source sensing section is sunk in the supporting body 2 on which light receiving elements are formed in semisphere shape and the light receiving elements 1 are arranged in a semisphere shape with one element at the center and the first round of 4 elements and the second round of 12 elements and so on with increased numbers of elements. The inner wall of the supporting body is a black inner wall, and its depth is from 2 to 7 times the diameter of the light receiving element to form a hood. In this arrangement the quantity of light received by the light receiving elements changes according to the position of the light source and the electric current therein changes. The angle of inclination of a water heater is adjusted, so that it has the best position by amplifying minute input current from a communicating wiring 5 with an amplifier 7 and taking out only the signal that coincides with the light source by means of a solector 8 and moving up and down a hydraulic cylinder 11 by transmitting the opening angle signal to an adjusting valve 10 by means of a position determining device 9.
