摘要： PURPOSE:To improve set shearing accuracy while eliminating breaking due to bending fatigue, by devising the shape of a shear pin, in the shear pin for protecting a machine device by preventing overload being concerned during operation. CONSTITUTION:This shear pin is provided with a ringed circumferential groove extending between a pair of edges steeply rising to a circumferential surfade of a cylinder, and a notch portion with smooth semicircular rounding is mounted to the groove bottom. The notch portion is shaped in a form of the couple of forces, which uses the interval of the edges, the width of notch, as an arm of the couple of forces, so that bending stress formed at the notch portion being subject to shearing force corresponding to a load to be limited range within the limit of bending fatigue. Thus, breaking due to bending fatigue is prevented. In this case, since the width of notch becomes narrow and the working of this pin is restricted when said conditions are satisfied about a U notch a V notch with approx. 60 deg.+ or -1 deg. notch angle can be adopted.
