    • PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of surface flows or the like in the tracks per se and a continuously cast ingot based on the friction between the endless tracks to themselves by supplying and sticking a lubricant to the endless tracks before they reach a tundish nozzle in a continuous casting device constituting a mold with respectively a pair of upper, lower and right, left endless tracks. CONSTITUTION:Right, left endless tracks 10, 10 and upper, lower endless tracks are moved at an equal speed, and molten steel is injected through the horizontal nozzle 4 of a tundish into the casting space formed by the right, left, upper and lower endless tracks, thereby casting a continuously cast ingot 9. In this case, the ingot 9 is cooled and as the outer solidified shell grows, it shrinks vertically and laterally; therefore, the tracks 10, 10 are pressed in the width direction of the ingot 9 by adjusting guide rails 11 to maintain the contact with the ingot 9, thereby preventing the decrease in the cooling effect of the ingot 9 by the endless tracks. At this time, the right and left endless tracks 10, 10 contact the upper, lower endless tracks and fracture on account of friction, thereby giving flaws to the surfaces of the ingot 9 as well. Therefore, a lubricant is supplied to the tracks 10, 10 by a lubricant feeder 13, so that the occurrence of the above-mentioned trouble is prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To surely detect a molten steel level without disengaging temp. sensitive magnetic bodies of circular cylindrical shape from a mold by inserting and fixing the temp. sensitive magnetic bodies into the horizontal holes pierced along the side wall from the outside wall surface in the corner part of the molten steel level detecting position of the mold. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of holes 4 are pierced horizontally by leaving intervals vertically in the side wall 6 facing the cooling water passage 3 of a mold 1 and continuous from the outside wall side in the corner part 5 of the molten level detecting position along said side wall 5. Next, the temp. sensitive magnetic materials 7 which are formed in a circular cylindrical shape are firmly driven in an interference fit state, into these holes 4, whereby detecting ends are constituted. When the temp. distribution of the mold 1 changes owing to the level fluctuations of the molten steel 9 in the mold, the magnetic bodies 7 change said temp. distribution into the change in specific magnetic permeability. Next, the change in this said permeability is detected as a change in impedance of a coil by a coil 8 connected to an AC power source, whereby the level of the molten steel 9 in the mold is detected.

    • PURPOSE:To improve heat collection efficiency and miniaturize the equipment by a method wherein a linear Fresnel lens is secured to arrange closely so as to condense in the heat collecting tube disposed parallely with a spacing. CONSTITUTION:A number of linear Fresnel lenses 1a are secured to arrange closely, on the focus line thereof a number of heat collecting tubes 3 being disposed parallelly with spacing. The heat collecting tube 3 is connected with the main tube 3 through the header 3c to flow the heat media 3a. The heat collector 1 is supported on the table with a tension bar 1c, which rotates around the center line of the main tube 3b. Further, the Fresnel lens is rotating around the center line of the main tube 3b in order to face the sun constantly. Since the radiation area per unit length of the heat collecting tube 3 can be reduced by disposing the lens 1a closely so as to reduce the side plate, allowing to reduce the convection loss for improving the heat collection efficiency.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for reciprocating movement of the mold and the supply of lubricant to the inside surfaces of the mold by disposing an annular member which has heat resistance and high-temperature strength and is provided with low cooling function to the inside peripheral wall of the molten steel supply end part. CONSTITUTION:When molten steel 9 is supplied to the inside of a water cooled mold 6 through a tapping nozzle 5, the molten steel first makes initial contact with the annular member 6e of low cooling function and small heat conductivity and therefore the molten steel assumes a gently cooled state and forms only a relatively thin frozen shell. Since the direct coupling part of the tapping nozzle 5 and water-cooled mold 6 is perfectly sealed by refractory material 15, the formation of metal penetration fins by the molten steel does not occur. Hence, the formation start point 18 of the frozen shell 10' is at the portion of the annular member 6e and the stable frozen shell is formed. Since it is the annular member 6e composed of carbon plate or the like where the molten steel 9 makes direct contact, no lubricants are required. The frozen shell 10' formed in the water- cooled mold 6 is rapidly cooled by the inside circumferential wall surface 6b owing to drawing action, by which the freezing is progressed to form a slab 10 which is then drawn from the water- cooled mold 6.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a belt from becoming disorderly easily when used and improve reliability in terms of bonding by additionally applying a force other than the tension of the belt which is used conventionally as a pressing force required for bonding with regard to a single facer for the preparation of a corrugated cardboard for preparing a one-side corrugated sheet by bonding a core and liner together. CONSTITUTION:A core 1 is molded by a top roll 2 and a bottom roll 3, and further, is corrugated and an adhesive is applied using an adhesive application roll 4. Next, the core 1 is bonded with another core 1 at the apex of the top roll 2. This force required for the bonding is sourced from a cylinder 10 through a tube roll 8 and a pressing roll 9. In addition, the tension of the belt is no longer required by obtaining a pressing force from a magnet-embedded belt and a repulsive force of the other magnet as an alternate means.
