    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absolutely imperative technique for reducing cross-erase when performing a high density recording so that a track pitch is ≤70% of a laser beam spot diameter in an information recording medium used for recording of information through radiation of an energy beam. SOLUTION: An optical disk 15 has a lower protective layer 2: (ZnS) 80 (SiO 2 ) 20 (100 nm), a lower interface layer 12: Cr 2 O 3 (5 nm), a recording layer 3: Ag 6 Ge 16 Sb 22 Te 55 phase transition recording layer (10 nm), an upper interface layer 13 (5 nm), a heat diffusion control layer 4: (ZnS) 80 (SiO 2 ) 20 (140 nm), a heat buffer layer 14: Cr 40 (Cr 2 O 3 ) 60 (35 nm), and a heat diffusion layer 5: Al (80 nm), on a substrate 1 made of a polycarbonate. Even when the optical disk 15 is used for high density recording wherein the track pitch is 70% of the laser beam spot diameter or less, cross-erase is not produced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
