SOLUTION: A recording head 1 of this ink jet printer is formed of a lower case body 3 and an upper case body 6. The slit part 5 is formed to the upper case body 6, and moreover an ink reservoir part 7 is constituted of a semicylindrical cavity 2 formed to the lower case body 3 and a triangular prism- shaped cavity 4 formed to the upper case body 6. A piezoelectric element 8 for generating ultrasonic beams is arranged to a bottom part of the ink reservoir part 7. Hydrophilic wall faces 12 and hydrophobic wall faces are alternately formed to an inner wall of the slit part 5. Triangular prism-shaped liquid columns 15 which reach a convergence focal position of the ultrasonic beams generated at the piezoelectric element 8 by the capillary phenomenon by a surface tension of an ink 14 are always formed to positions of the hydrophilic wall faces 12. Liquid drops are let to fly by converging the ultrasonic beams to leading ends of the liquid columns.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a cogging torque at a rotor to nearly zero, to easily turn the rotor and to increase a power-generation efficiency in a power-generating device which turns the rotor inside a stator and which generates electricity. SOLUTION: A power-generating device is provided with a stator 14, with an output coil 15 which is connected to the stator 14 and with a rotor 13 which is turned relative to the stator 14 which is multipolar-magnetized. In the power- generating device, the stator 14 is constituted by laminating a plurality of sheet- like members, the plurality of sheet-like members are provided with hollow housing parts 30, 31 which respectively house the rotor 13 so as to be rotatably, and the cross-sectional shape of the housing part which is formed of at least one sheet-like member out of plurality of sheet-like members is formed to be non-circular. Alternatively, the diameter of the housing part which is formed of at least one sheet-like member is constituted, so as to be different from the diameter of the housing parts which are formed on the other sheet-like members. By this constitution, a cogging torque which is generated between the rotor 13 and the stator 14 can be reduced nearly to zero.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a second shim from being displaced by a shock or the like and to make the fine adjustment of the magnetic field possible by a method wherein the second shim at a magnetic-field generation device which is composed of the second shim and a first shim for a pole piece is fixed to the first shim. CONSTITUTION:A pole piece is composed of a first shim 21 and a second shim 22. The second shim can be moved in the up-and-down direction by using a bolt 5 for adjustment use. Screw holes for screws 6 for second-shim fixation use are made into four places around the bolt 5 for adjustment use. A screw hole for the bolt 5 for adjustment use is made in the first central part of the pole piece. When the bolt 5, for adjustment use, which has been fixed to the second shim 22 is turned, the second shim 22 is moved to the up-and-down direction while it is being turned. After the position of the second shim 22 has been adjusted, the four screws 6 for fixation use are inserted into the first shim 21 and fix the second shim 22. When the four screws 6 for fixation use are adjusted individually, only the second shim 22 can be tilted fine and it can be adjusted fine.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate local nonuniformity of a magnetic field and realize improvement in uniformity by attaching one or a plurality of magnetic field adjusting magnetic material on a surface opposite to a gap of a disc-like protrusion at the center of a pole piece. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic circuit comprises a pair of permanent magnets 1 facing each other with a gap 5 formed and a pair of magnetic field adjusting pole pieces 2 which is fixed on the permanent magnets 1 while they are magnetically coupled with a plate yoke 3 and a supporting pillar 4. The pole piece 2 comprises a disc-like pole piece 20, a first shim 21 being a circular protrusion provided on a periphery of the surface of the pole piece 20 and a second shim 22 being a disc-like protrusion provided at the center. One or a plurality of magnetic field adjusting magnetic materials 7 are attached to a surface opposite to the gap of the second shim 22 of the pole piece 2. Thus local nonuniformity of a magnetic field can be adjusted.
