    • PURPOSE:To provide a rolling equipment capable of reducing its installing space and productive cost, by making the distance, between the axial centers of upper and lower intermediate rolls, approximately equal to the distance between respective axial centers of driving motors provided separately and coupling directly the intermediate rolls with respective motors. CONSTITUTION:In a six high mill equipped with each pair of work rolls 1A, 1B, intermediate rolls 2A, 2B, and back-up rolls 3A, 3B at the upper and lower sides of the mill, the intermediate rolls 2A, 2B mentioned above are directly coupled with respective motors 5A, 5B provided separately to the upper and lower sides, and are driven through horizontal driving shafts 6A, 6B, universal couplings 7A, 7B, inclinable driving shafts 9A, 9B, universal couplings 10A, 10B, and horizontal shafts 11A, 11B, etc. all of which are also provided separately to the upper and lower sides of the mill. Further, the intermediate rolls 2A, 2B are constituted so that they have the diameters which make the distance between their axial centers approximately equal to that of the motors 5A, 5B mentioned above. Therefore, it is prefarable that the motor 5B at the upper side is arranged on the rear side of the motor 5A at the lower side, and the level of the horizontal driving shaft 11B at the upper side is arranged close to the level of the top of the motor 5A at the lower side.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain excellent sealing performance at all times by a method wherein an automatic controlling means for operating air pressure is provided so as not to apply excessive contact force by pressure during baking. CONSTITUTION:When a pressure instruction S is inputted, the opening of a pressure regulating valve is turned to be smaller so as to lower the operating air pressure. The operating air pressure is set at a value, in which a suitable contact force by pressure is obtained between a gate seal 13 and a seal ring 12 under the condition that an operating device 28 and the like are in the thermally enough elongated states with the rise of the temperature of their own. Accordingly, even during baking, no deterioration of sealing performance due to the yield of the knife edge of the gate seal 13 caused from excess contact force by pressure occurs, resulting in obtaining excellent sealing performance.

    • PURPOSE:To maintain the sealing performance favorably by a method, wherein an electric cable is provided between a valve body and the ground, the valve body is grounded directly and electrification of the sealing surface is prevented. CONSTITUTION:A ground terminal 7 is provided to the valve body 1 a passage between said ground terminal and the ground or a lead wire 8 is connected to discharge electric charge accumulated on a seal surface to the ground. The valve body 1 and the sealing surface are integrated with each other, therefore, grounding may be performed through the valve body 1 or the sealing surface similarly. Charges on the sealing surface are discharged to the ground, the sealing surface is prevented from being charged, as a result, keeping off the accumulation of dust thereon, thereby maintaining the sealing property favorably.

    • PURPOSE:To lower the concentration of various stresses and obtain a coupled part of a high fatigue strength by inserting a riser in the groove of a commutator and welding the riser by spacing the upper end of the groove of the commutator apart from the welded part. CONSTITUTION:A groove 4 is formed at the upper end of a commutator 2, and one end of a riser 1 is inserted in the groove 4 and both ends thereof is subjected to TIG welding. In this case, the upper end of the TIG welded part 5 and the upper end 4a of the groove are spaced apart at a distance l. The distance l is selected so that, the stress concentrated part at the groove upper end part due to the riser bending load, the stress concentrated part of the welded end part and the heat influence part at the time of welding are not mutually overlapped. By these process, overlapping of the stress concentration is removed, and the concentration of stress is lowered, the maximum stress concentrated part A and the heat influence part B being separated from each other as a whole. Thus, the coupled part of high fatigue strength can be obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a mechanically strong rotor, by driving a cotter into the clearance at the side wall of each tab-tail receiving groove in which a tab-tail is already received, wherein said driving is effected after spider arms are welded and fixed to the core. CONSTITUTION:Spider arms 3 are radially welded 8' to the rotary shaft 2 and a pad 4 with a tab-tail 5 is welded 8 at the end of each arm 3. Then, sector-shaped silicon steel plates are stacked, with their tab-tail grooves 6 receiving corresponding tab-tail 5, to form a ring-shaped core 1, and they are pressed from both axial side thereof to be fixed. In this state, both sides of the pad 4 are filled-welded 9 to the inner periphery of the rotor core 1 and a cotter 7 is driven into each tab-tail fitted portion to press and fix the tab-tail 5 within the tab-tail groove 6. Thus, residual compressive stress is produced in the welded portion 9 of the pad 4 and the core 1 to eliminate the tensile stress produced in the welded portion 9 and closer coupling of the butt portion is achieved so that a mechanically strong rotor can be obtained.
