    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means for increasing the amount of a magnetic flux with minimum power consumption and maximum efficiency in a residual magnetic field type electromagnetic flowmeter.
      SOLUTION: To achieve desired magnetic flux density, a magnetic circuit is made to be a parallel structure divided into N to be accommodated on a pair of core plates as a group of N exciting coils. A load of a coercive force value driven by one magnetic circuit is thereby reduced to be 1/N, reducing the consumption of exciting electric power for one magnetic circuit to be the square of (1/N). The sum total of the magnetic flux obtained by driving the N magnetic circuits in parallel is compiled on a single core plate.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic flowmeter which assures a high signal level so as to coincide a major axis direction of an ellipse with an axis of a measuring electrode, making a measuring tube with a true circle so as to assure a strength even if a thin-walled, and obtains a small pressure drop by making the same cross section area of a cross section of a lining inner diameter (hereinafter referred to as inner diameter cross section) over the flow path direction and making the lining inner diameter at the measuring electrode part elliptic. SOLUTION: This electromagnetic flowmeter comprises the measuring tube in which a measuring fluid flows, the exciting coils and the measuring electrodes which are mounted with an opposite arrangement on the measuring tube, respectively. The measuring tube is formed in a true circle geometry and is formed with the lining at the inner face of the measuring tube. The inner diameter cross section of this lining is the circle shape at an inlet and an outlet, and an intermediate part of the inlet and the outlet is elliptic shape, and, moreover, the same cross section area is formed along the flow path from the inlet to the outlet.       SOLUTION: In this flowmeter, a magnetic pole 4a is constituted of two components of a core 41a having a core main body part 411 wound with an excitation coil, and a positioning protrusion part 412 fitted into a through hole 421 formed in a pedestal 42a, and the pedestal 42a for contacting with a tube wall of a measuring tube to stabilize the magnetic pole 4a and to optimize a magnetic field distribution, and having the through hole 421 fitted with the positioning protrusion part 412 of the core 41a. The magnetic pole 4a is integrated by welding both components in a welding part 45 under the condition where the positioning protrusion part 412 is fitted into the through hole 421, so as to constitute the magnetic pole 4a.
