SOLUTION: This connector 16 comprises: a base housing 17 containing terminal metal fittings; and a sub housing 22 to be inserted into the base housing 17 so as to be integrated therewith and having a cover 21 for opening or closing an opening 20 of terminal containing grooves 19 containing the terminal metal fittings. In this case, integration confirming devices 23 are provided, capable of confirming regular insertion/integration of the base housing 17 into/with the sub housing 22 because the terminal containing grooves 19 can be closed with the cover 21 in the state in which the sub housing 22 is integrated with the base housing 17. Consequently, the integrated state can be easily confirmed when the sub housing 22 is inserted into or integrated with the base housing 17, thereby securely preventing any incompletely integrated state.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assemble a box having a female connector with a main body of a male connector side from a direction which is different from the connector fitting direction. SOLUTION: A diagonally notched opening 12 is disposed on a front end of a female connector 21 and a front end of a male connector 4 is engaged with the notched opening 12 in an orthogonal direction. On the front end of the male connector 4, an engaging part 21 which is brought sliding contact with a cam groove of a slider 9 is arranged, and a slider inserting groove 20 is disposed on the male connector 4. On an entrance side of the cam groove, a taper guide surface for introducing to the engaging part 21 is disposed. On a sidewall of the male connector 4, a positioning protrusion 23 is disposed, while on the female connector 2 a guide groove 32 of a direction fitted to the male connector 4 is disposed. A taper guide surface is formed on the guide groove 32. The male connector 4 is temporarily held to a body 3 with an elastic arm 17. The female connector 2 integrated with a body 1 is moved to the male connector 4 in the orthogonal direction, and the male connector 4 is engaged initially with the front end of the female connector 2, then both of the connectors 2, 4 are fitted to each other with a push-pressing operation of the slider 9.

As a result, normal fitting to a counterpart terminal is enabled.
