    • PURPOSE:To miniaturize the titled heat exchanger and to reduce sharply the manufacturing cost thereof by a method wherein a fluid passage is formed on the side of an outer pipe in which the velocity of the fluid decreases, by utilizing the inner and the outer side of a double pipe coil. CONSTITUTION:In a doulbe pipe type heat exchanger adopted to perform a heat exchange operation effectively between two kinds of fluids of different heat transfer properties, the double pipe coil 10 is arranged between the inner tank 11 and the outer tank 12 of an oil tank 1. The oil from a machine tool is returned to the oil tank 1 where it is first cooled by the outer surface of the outer pipe of the coil 10 as it passes through the fluid passage between the inner tank 11 and the outer tank 12 and is sucked by a circulation pump 2 from inside of the inner tank 11. Next, the oil passes through the inner pipe of the coil 10 so that it is cooled further and is then supplied under pressure to the machine tool 3. With the above structure, the heat exchange operation is performed without reducing the heat transfer capacity at the outside of the outer pipe of the coil 10. Accordingly, the heat exchanger can be miniaturized and the manufacturing cost thereof can be reduced sharply.

    • PURPOSE: To facilitate the manufacture of a double pipe having elbow parts by providing radial fin pieces at a suitable interval in the axial direction of a metal pipe, and supporting a flexible pipe formed by winding a band-shaped cylinder element by the fin pieces.
      CONSTITUTION: A flexible pipe 3 is arranged in the outer periphery of the metal pipe 1 in a double pipe shape, and the flexible pipe 3 is supported by the outer end surfaces of the fin pieces 2 projected in a large number radially from the outer peripheral surface of the metal pipe 1. The fin pieces 2 are radially projected from the outer periphery of the metal pipe 1 by fitting the fin members 6 at a suitable interval at the outer periphery of the metal pipe 1. Each of the fin members 6 is formed of a ring member 4, a fin piece 2 and a supporting member 5. Moreover, the flexible pipe 3 is formed by winding a band-shaped cylindrical element in a spiral shape.

    • PURPOSE: To promote heat transfer of a heat exchanger which is constructed in a double-tube structure having an inner tube and an outer tube, by supporting the inner tube substantially at the center in the outer tube, and thereby preventing the inner tube from being displaced out of the center and coming into contact with the outer tube.
      CONSTITUTION: On the outer surface of an outer tube 11, inwardly projected portions 11a are formed at the intervals of a pitch P, so as to hold or support an inner tube 12 substantially at the center in the outer tube 11. With such an arrangement, it is prevented that the inner tube 12 is displaced out of the center and comes into contact with the outer tube 11. At the same time, heat transfer area can be provided sufficiently and turbulences are produced in the fluid flow, so that it is enabled to promote heat transfer of the heat exchanger.
