摘要： PURPOSE:To certainly extract a used diet balloon out of the body within a short time, by providing a suction means for sucking the air in the diet balloon and a balloon recovery jig expanding means for expanding the leading end part of the probe inserted in the diet balloon to a size larger than the opening of the diet balloon. CONSTITUTION:Injection needle like leading end members 4 are thrust and inserted in the used diet balloon stayed in the stomach and suck the air in said balloon 7 through an air suction hole 5 to contract the balloon. Thereafter, the leading end members 4 composed of a shape memory alloy are heated by the supply of a current to be separated at the parts of the cracks 4a thereof and respectively warped and bent outwardly to become a flower like memory shape and expanded to a size larger than the punctured opening. When a probe 3 is drawn out along with an endoscope in this state, the inner peripheral edge of the opening part of the contracted diet balloon is suitably hooked with the bent leading end members 4 of the probe 3 and the used diet balloon 7 can be drawn out of the body extremely easily and certainly.
