    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductive paste composition for solar batteries, which allows easy control of an entrance amount of electrode material and an ohmic contact to be formed readily when forming an electrode on a solar battery of a shallow emitter structure with a thin n-layer by the fire-through method.SOLUTION: The conductive paste composition comprises flint glass including PbO of 20-62 (mol%), BOof 1-18 (mol%) and SiOof 18-65 (mol%), LiO of 0.6-18 (mol%), AlOof 0-6 (mol%), TiOof 0-6 (mol%), ZnO of 0-30 (mol%), POof 0-6 (mol%), and SbOof 0-4 (mol%), provided that the molar ratio of Pb/Si is 0.5-1.7. In the case where a silver thick film containing the flint glass having the above composition at a ratio of 1-10 pts.wt. with respect to 100 pts.wt. of silver is used to form a light-receiving plane electrode, a good ohmic contact between the electrode and the n-layer can be obtained in spite of a line width as thin as about 100 (μm), whereby a low contact resistance is achieved.
