    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive synthetic resin thrust washer having superior abrasion resistance and low coefficient of friction, and its manufacturing method, and to provide an automatic transmission contributing on the reduction in size and weight, and the improvement in efficiency.
      SOLUTION: This washer has a disc-shaped synthetic resin as a base material, its sliding face is coated with a hard carbon thin film, and lubricant and working fluid, including fatty acid ester ashless friction adjusting agent and aliphatic amine ashless friction adjusting agent, are applied to the sliding face. This washer is manufactured by molding the synthetic resin into the shape of the washer, and then coating its surface with diamond-like carbon by a plasma CDV method to form the hard carbon thin film. This automatic transmission applies the washer, and the lubricant and the working fluid.
