摘要： PURPOSE:To carry out partial hot dipping with superior productibity by sticking soot generated by the incomplete combustion of the gaseous product of a starting material hydrocarbon having a specified C/H ration to part of a steel strip to efficiently perform soot masking. CONSTITUTION:In the formation of a hot dipping preventing coat for a steel strip, the gaseous product of a starting material hydrocarbon such as liquefied propane gas having 0.35-1 C/H ratio is blown into a combustion flame of a fuel hydrocarbon such as acetylene having a C/H ratio lower than that of the starting material hydrocarbon to generate soot by incomplete combustion, and this soot is stuck to part of the strip. By this method much soot is generated with less fuel consumed, and high- quality one-side masking can be performed in a hot dipping line without decreasing the strip feeding speed. Thus, the productibity of one-side hot dipping is enhanced.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make it possible to carry out partial melt plating with high quality by a method wherein, in case of forming a coating for preventing plating on a surface of a steel strip not requring plating and immersing said steel strip in a molten metal plating bath to plate said steel strip, a free carbon plating prevention coating is used to prevent said steel strip from being contacted with dross and detached carbon in said bath. CONSTITUTION:An impurity removing duct 2 is provided in a plating bath tank 1 and a propeller 3 is immersed. When said propeller is rotated, a surface of a metal bath is raised and impurities are floated to a bath surface and overflowed and discharged automatically from an impurity removing port 5 of a snout 4. Therefore, the impurities are not contacted with a steel strip 9.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the capturing efficiency of magnetic particles and ease washing and regenerating by constituting a magnetic filter by porous material of iron-base amorphous alloy or the lamination structure of said material and porous non-magnetic material. CONSTITUTION:In the apparatus which is built in with the magnetic filter and separates magentic particles from the solution to be treated containing magnetic particles, said magnetic filter is constituted by porous material of iron-base amorphous alloy material such as Fe and Ni. This apparatus is superior in corrosion resistance and since its coercive force is smaller than that of crystalline material, the washing and regenerating are easy. To prevent magnetic shortcircuiting and improve separating efficiency, the lamination structure comprising alternately superposing the magetic filter of the abovementioned iron-base amorphous alloy and the filter composed with porous non-magnetic material such as Ni-Cr-base stainless steel is ideally suited. This apparatus is ideally suited for purification of iron and steel waste water and the boiler water of atomic power plants.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain absorption liquid for absorption type refrigerating machine capable of effectively inhibiting corrosiveness to ferrous and cuprous materials, by containing specific amounts of nitrate, triazole and octyl alcohol in aqueous lithium bromide solution. CONSTITUTION:An absorption type refrigerating machine consisting of regenerator 1, condenser 2, evaporator 3, absorber 4, etc. uses water as the refrigerant and aqueous solution of lithium bromide as absorption liquid. This absorption liquid, in order to prevent corrosion, contains, as inhibitor, 0.01 to 0.05 wt.% of alkali metal nitrate such as lithium, and 0.005 to 0.1 wt. % of a kind of triazole selected from benzotriazole and tolyl triazole. In order to increase the thermal efficiency of the absorption liquid, 5 to 50 ml/l of octyl alcohol may be added. As compared with the conventional inhibitor, an excellent anticorrosion effect may be obtained.
