    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of a fan by forming an annular part between a fan casing and a top surface of a diffuser, and bonding the annular part to the top surface of the diffuser for integration. SOLUTION: An annular part 24 is formed between a fan casing and a top surface of a diffuser, and the annular part 24 is bonded to the top surface of the diffuser for integration, and a clearance formed by rugged parts of the fan casing is thereby sealed by a flat surface 22, which contacts with the fan casing, and a clearance due to drop or deformation of the diffuser is sealed by bonding to the top surface of the diffuser so as to restrict the lowering of performance at the minimum. Generation of flutter of a sheet due to the air flowing in a diffuser flow passage in the case where the sheet is interposed is prevented by forming the annular part 24 from the same material of the diffuser or the similar synthetic resin and having rigidity, and lowering of performance of an electric fan due to the generation of noise and increase of the air resistance can be prevented.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To greatly reduce the vibration force for inducing the primary bend mode of a rotor, by performing dynamic correction on the correction surface of both edges in a first balance correction, and performing correction on a correction surface that differs from the first balance correction surface. SOLUTION: After dynamic balance correction, the vector sum of unbalance remaining at both edges of a core 18 is calculated, an area (in this case, an area between both end faces of the core 18 or the central part of the core 18) on the outer-periphery surface of the core 18 that differs from both edge parts of the core 18 where dynamic balance correction is made is cut by a cutter when the vector sum is equal to or more than a specific value, and static balance correction is made, thus making correction to a specific value or less. By performing the static balance correction of a rotor 4, balance correction considering a phase can be performed, thus greatly reducing the vibration force for inducing the primary bending mode of the rotor 4. Also, the deflection of a rotary shaft 15 on high-speed rotation can be suppressed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent any air flow from leaking from a fitting part so as to improve a blast efficiency, in the case of a device in which the outer frame of an electric motor is fitted in a hole provided in a straightening plate through which a rotary shaft penetrates, by interposing a member having a hole of its diameter smaller than the inner diameter of a fitting part and having its hardness lower than that of the straightening plate, in its fitting part. SOLUTION: An electric motor-driven blower 1 exhausts air which has been guided to flow in from the air intake port 15 of a casing 14 by means of the rotation of a fan 12 owing to a rotor 6, through the fan 12 and a straightening plate 13. This plate 13 is fitted in the bearing part of an end bracket 16, but in this case, a member 17 made of rubber or the like having opened a hole whose diameter is smaller than the outer diameter of the bearing part is inserted in the fitting part and the plate 13 is attached thereto in such a way as pinching the member 17. And the height of this member 17 is made higher than a gap between the end bracket 16 and the plate 13 when this plate 13 is inserted in the bearing. In this way, the member 17 is deformed in compliance with configurations of the end bracket 16 and the plate 13 so as to be tightly contacted.
