    • PURPOSE:To automatically focus a light on one point of a light receiving plate without requiring correction and the like throughout a year by arranging a focusing device and a light receiving plate in parallel to an earth rotating axis and including the rotating shaft of a reflection mirror by an angle of inclination conforming to the latitude of an installed place. CONSTITUTION:A focusing device 1 and a light receiving plate 4 are arranged in parallel to an earth rotating axis, and the axial direction of a rotating shaft 5 is inclined by an angle of inclination theta1, and the light receiving surface 4a of the light receiving plate 4 arranged so that it makes a right angle with the latitude angle theta1. A reflection mirror 2 focuses sun light on one point by rotating the rotating shaft 5 once a day via a second drive gear mechanism 20 of rotation driving means 18. A cylindrical cam 9 affords an inclination of + or -11.75 deg. to a reflected light 3 is focused on one constant point of the light receiving plate 4 throughout a year according to the incidence mirror of sun light.

    • PURPOSE:To save energy by making use of a solar battery panel to supply power to a sensor and a motive power source of a sun follower with no use of an external power supply. CONSTITUTION:Two solar battery panels 2 and 2' are attached with an angle thetato both sides of a solar heat collector 1 of a solar heat utilizing device. A revolving device 3 which supports rotatably the collector 1 is controlled by a detection controller 4 for currents generated by both panels 2 and 2'. When the sun gets out of the center lines of both panels 2 and 2', a difference is produced between sunbeam receiving areas A1 and A2 of both panels 2 and 2'. This difference is detected and compared by the controller 4 and causes the device 3 to turn the collector in the direction where said difference is equal to '0'. In such a way, both a sensor and a motive power source of a sun follower can utilize the currents generated by those solar battery panels 2 and 2' without using any external power supply. Thus the energy saving properties can be improved.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the malfunctions of a sun tracking device despite the change of intensity of the incident light, by using an optical sensor for incident light. CONSTITUTION:The 3rd optical sensor 4C is provided for detection of the intensity of the incident light L in addition to optical sensors 4A and 4B which detect the direction of the light L. The signal detected by the sensor 4C is used as the comparison input for both comparators 6A and 6B for detection of the shift via an amplifier 5C and a ratio setter 9. Therefore the comparison input changes in the same rate as the changing rate of the intensity of the light L. Thus it is possible to always detect the shift in the same state. While a comparator 6C compares the output of the sensor 4C with the signal of the reference value set by a setter 10. Then the drive of a motor 3 is stopped via a motor controller 8 in case the intensity of the light L is less than a prescribed level.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the horizontal tracking type collector, which tracks the sun, by a method wherein a trestle and a heat collecting tube 12, attached to the trestle and integrated with a reflecting mirror, are pivoted when a driving unit is driven. CONSTITUTION:Supporting pillars 17 support the whole of the collector 11 and the trestle 15, to which the reflecting mirror 14 and the heat collecting tube 12 are attached through hinges 16, is fixed onto the pillars 17. An arm 19 is fixed to the trestle 15 and is moved by a driving mechanism (a hydraulic actuator 18) to effect the tracking of the reflecting mirror 14. Control command is outputted from a control unit in accordance with the movement of the sun to operate the hydraulic actuator 18 and pivot the trestle 15. According to this method, the reflecting mirror 14 faces to the direction of the sun at all times and collects the rays of light incident thereupon into the heat collecting tube 12 whereby heat collecting efficiency may be improved, structure may be simplified, assemblage may be facilitated and the cost may be reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To contrive to enable the titled device to follow the diurnal motion by a method wherein a light receiving member is provided on the west side and east side supports via a east/west direction swinging mechanism, while the west side support is supported by a movable member in a liquid tank and a leak valve is provided at an intermediate portion on the liquid moving passage in the liquid tank. CONSTITUTION:An east side support 2 is fixed on a foundation 5, a west side support 3 is supported by a flexible device 6 arranged on the foundation 5. In the flexible device 6, the lower end part of the west side support 3 is held on a float 9 floating on a liquid 8 in a liquid tank 7. In the morning, the liquid 8 is filled in the tank up to the designated level after opening an open/close valve 12, the west side support 3 is made higher than the east side support 2, the inclining angle of a light receiving member 1 is fixed at the designated angle via a hinge 4. Therefore, by opening a leak valve 13, the liquid 8 level is lowered while following the diurnal motion of the sun, then the west side of the light receiving member 1 is gradually lowered, the inclination of the light receiving member 1 is changed gradually form the east side lower inclination to the west side lower inclination. Thus, the light receiving member is enabled to follow the diurnal motion without any consumption of energy, accordingly, the light receiving efficiency can be improved.
