Sealing parts 2 are formed on both ends of the bulb 1, and heat resisting ceramic bases 3 are fixed to the sealing parts 2. A halogen such as bromine is sealed into the bulb 1. Thus, glare can be prevented, and no uncomfortable feeling is given to a worker.

The number of crystal grains on the cutting surface, within the range of 2/5-3/5, of the diameter of the wire W parallel to a coil axis, in the figure, in the cross section A-A obtained by grinding 1/2, is limited to 11 or less. The amount of carbon monoxide within the lamp after 15-600 second lighting in the range of 70-200% of rated using voltage is limited to 0.018 micro-mole/cm or more. Even if flashing number is increased, life is lengthened.

In this way, by forming a bulb by combining the decrease of the filled gas pressure inside the filament room with a specific thickness ratio of the wall against the outer tube with a promptly-working fuse, the risk of filament breakage can be reduced without shortening the life of the lamp.

Furthermore, an exhausting process is maintained at a medium pressure level of favorably about 15Pa-about 200Pa (in effect, about 0.2Torr-1.5Torr) and more preferably about 45Pa-about 150Pa (in effect, about 0.2Torr-1.1Torr), and the main body is heated for a short time at about 500-about 600 deg.C sufficient to burn carbon and the exhausting process is continued. Thereby, effective lifetime of an incandescent lamp can be extended, and efficiency is increased.
