    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously achieve miniaturization of a member to be joined to which a coated electric wire is joined and suppression of joining defects.
      SOLUTION: The coated electric wire 2 is wound at least once around a rod like terminal 1. While the coated electric wire 2 wound around the terminal 1 is being pressurized by an upper electrode 3 of a resistance welding machine, the coated electric wire is heated by supplying a current to the upper electrode 3 and the coating of the coated electric wire 2 is peeled. The coated electric wire 2 and the terminal 1 are resistance-welded by supplying the current between the upper electrode 3 and a lower electrode 4 via the coated electric wire 2 and the terminal 1. A contact area of the coated electric wire 2 and the terminal 1 is made larger by this. Even if pressurizing force from the upper electrode 3 is applied to the coated electric wire 2, positional deviation of the coated electric wire 2 can be suppressed and the joining defects can be effectively prevented. Also, a frame of the terminal 1 can be miniaturized since bending machining of the terminal 1 is not required.

      SOLUTION: In the case of needing the coating with the oil 14 according to the materials of both members 1, 2 to be welded from information in a data table 47, the electric power supplied from a control unit 45 at the outer part of the rotary shear 7 is transmitted to respective fixed side transmitting parts 39b, 49b and further, under non-contacting state, this electric power is transmitted to respective moving side transmitting parts 39a, 49a to supply this electric power to a three directional change-over type respective motor- driven ball valves 35, 36. Then, the respective motor-driven ball valves 35, 36 are changed over so that the oil 14' spouts from the respective nozzles 17, 18 through respective connecting pipes 15, 16. Further, the oil 14 spouted from respective pumps 19, 20 is applied on the cutting-off surfaces of both members 1, 2 to be welded while linking with the cutting-off motion of the rotary shear 7.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To substantially shorten required process time per work in applying seam welding to a base and a cap with the cap mounted on the base.
      SOLUTION: A second pallet 41B is overlaid on a first pallet 41A at the lower side placing in a matrix shape a plurality of accommodation spaces prior to tack welding. The base B and the cap C are accommodated over the accommodation spaces of both the pallets 41A, 41B. A welding electrode 11 for tacking is inserted in the electrode insertion spaces E2, E2 of the second pallet 41B to bring the welding electrode 11 for tacking into contact with the cap C. The cap C is tack-welded to the base B. The second pallet 41B is then detached from the first pallet 41A. The entire periphery of the cap C is seam- welded to the base B in a state that the upper edge of the cap C is upwardly positioned rather than the upper surface of the first pallet 41A and with an electrode for seam welding brought into contact with the upper edge of the cap.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of burrs by forming a hole of a specified diameter in advance at a location to be welded of a metal plate held by two metal plates, and pouring a molten metal generated during the spot welding in the hole. SOLUTION: At least three metal plates overlap and are spot welded. A copper alloy movable plate connection part 33, a connection part of a bimetal plate having a hole 45 therein, and a copper alloy second external connection terminal 50 overlap. Electrodes 71, 72 of a spot welding machine are located on the control line of the hole 45. The connection part 33 and the second external connection terminal 50 are pressed by the electrodes 71, 72. A metal stock of a welded part is melted through the heat generation of the welding current flowing between the electrodes 71, 72. The molten metal flows into the hole 45 and is entrapped, and prevented from leaking outward to form burrs 80. A projecting part 33a located in the hole 45 is formed on the connection part 33, the connection part 33 is brought close to the second external connection terminal 50 by the height of the projecting part 33a to preferably reduce the electric resistance between the two.
