摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an edge sealing tape which is used for preventing exfoliation of a coating film protective sheet and has both of reworkability and resistance to exfoliation at high levels when the work of sticking the edge sealing tape is performed. SOLUTION: The edge sealing tape 10 is used for fixing the edge 20A of the coating film protective sheet 20 to an adherend 30 having a coating film 32. The edge sealing tape 10 is provided with: a rubber-based adhesive layer 16 arranged on one side of a sheet-shaped support 12; and an adhesive strength increasing agent 14 which is arranged between the rubber-based adhesive layer 16 and the sheet-shaped support 12 and is used for increasing the adhesive strength of the rubber-based adhesive layer 16 with time. The adhesive strength increasing agent 14 is an acid-modified polyolefin resin, which has not a dominant endothermic peak corresponding to the softening temperature when measured by a DSC (differential scanning calorimeter) by raising the temperature from -10°C to 200°C at 10°C/minute temperature rise rate, and/or a chlorinated polyolefin resin having COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT

The adhesive has microstructured (22) surface to form channels (24) of volume 1X103> mu m3> per circular area with diameter of 500 mu m. The channels with wet-out value of 85% has exit pathways to provide the flow of fluid to periphery of the article when it is applied to the substrate. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The article comprises a compliant film with pressure sensitive adhesive bonded to the lower surface. The adhesive has microstructured surface to form channels of volume 1X103> mu m3> per circular area with diameter of 500 mu m. The channels has exit pathways to provide the flow of fluid to periphery of the article when it is applied to the substrate. The channels are 85% wet and not visible from the upper surface after application of article to the substrate.
