    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel that reduces reflection of outdoor daylight and improves a blue luminous efficiency.
      SOLUTION: The plasma display panel is provided with a first substrate 1 and a second substrate 11 arranged oppositely to each other, a first dielectric layer 5 formed on a whole surface of the first substrate 1 for covering an address electrode 3, red, blue, and green phosphor layers 9 formed in a discharge cell, a second dielectric layer 15 formed on a whole surface of the second substrate 11 for covering display electrodes 13, and a MgO protecting film 17 arranged on the second dielectric layer 15. The MgO protecting layer 17 contains MOx (metal element selected from a group consisting of Zn, Ti, and a combination thereof, O designates an oxygen element, 1≤x≤2), as light-scattering substance, of 1.0-2.0 mass%, and the light-scattering substance is 100-900 nm in particle size.
