    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording power adjusting method capable of highly precisely setting the optimum recording power, and to provide an optical recording and reproducing device. SOLUTION: A trial writing is performed using a plurality of kinds of recording power Pwm, modulation degree Mm corresponding to each recording power Pwm are calculated.
