    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing device for reducing material heating energy, reducing material loss, improving a yield, and securing strength ad durability, while attaining weight reduction and compactness.SOLUTION: In a wheel bearing device of an inner ring rotary type, an outer member 10 is formed of a plate material by plastic processing, and an annular recessed part 20 is formed by recessing a central part in the axial direction of the outer periphery; an annular projection part 11 composed of a flat inner diameter projecting inward in the radial direction on the inner periphery and circular arc-shaped outside rolling travel surfaces 10a and 10a of a double row on both sides of this annular projection part 11, are simultaneously formed by press working; a vehicle body fitting flange 10b is formed in an inner side end part of the outer member 10 by press punching; and a root part 22 of this vehicle body fitting flange 10b and an annular recessed part 20 are thickened by rubbing work by a press.
