    • PURPOSE:To sufficiently remove paper powder, etc., sticking to the surface of a photosensitive body by dispersedly forming an electrostatic latent image for cleaning on an image interval area between the first and next image forming areas on the photosensitive body and executing the cleaning. CONSTITUTION:The electrostatic latent image for the cleaning is formed on the image interval are E4 between the image forming area E1 where an image is formed first and the image forming area E2 where the image is formed next, on the photosensitive drum 4. The latent image is developed with the developer of the polarity reverse to that of a developer for normally developing the image on the image forming areas E1 and E2, to be tuned into a sensible image CE for the cleaning dispersed in a wide area, and the developer dispersed in the wide area where the sensible image CE is formed is cleaned, as it is, by a cleaning blade 7 without being transferred, to be used as ab abrasive material. Therefore, the photosensitive drum 4 disperses many developers in a wide area part compared with that when compared with that when a residual developer has an effect on grinding at the time of the cleaning, and can supply them in a state where they are stuck well to the surface of the photosensitive drum 4.

    • PURPOSE:To clean the inside of an container body by providing a discharge opening for waste toner and an air feed opening at proper positions of the container body, and then easily ad speedily discharging the waste toner without any negative pressure even while the container body is used in a sealed state and blowing air in from the air feeding opening. CONSTITUTION:The waste toner casing 3 is provided with the discharge opening 121 and air feed opening 122. A translucent film 125 is provided at the air feeding opening 122 and passes air, but does not pass toner, so a cap is not necessary. When the waster toner is discharged from the water discharge opening 121 by natural convection or suction at a proper period because of the repetitive use of the container body, negative pressure is produced in the casing 3 as the toner is discharged, but air s supplemented correspondingly from the air feed opening 122, so the toner can easily and speedily be discharged. At this time, the air is blown in forcibly from the air feeding opening and blows away toner even tone sticking in the casing to accelerate the discharging and also clean the inside.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the leakage of a dislodged developer to the outside of a spilling preventive part by previously impressing the voltage higher than the voltage of a developing roller on an electrode for attracting the developer at the time of dropping and capturing the developer into the spilling preventive part. CONSTITUTION:The spilling preventive part 27 like a shallow container is provided on the bottom of the aperture at the connecting end of a developing device casing 2 so as to cover the space below the developing roller 11 at the rear side in the rotating direction of the developing roller 11 from a sealing plate 25 and the electrode 28 for attracting the developer is provided on the inside base thereof. A DC power source 29 for impressing the voltage higher than the voltage of the developing roller 11 is connected to this electrode 28. The dislodged developer is, therefore, surely sucked and attracted into the spilling preventive part 27 without suspending on the periphery at the time when the dislodged developer falls into the spilling preventive part 27 and is captured therein. The leakage of the developer again to the outside is obviated even if air flow is suddenly generated.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent developer from dropping at the time of loading/unloading an image producing cartridge by closing a space between an image carrier and a developing device in a state where the image producing cartridge is not loaded and retreating a closing member by interlocking with the loading action of the image producing cartridge. CONSTITUTION:When the image producing cartridge 1 is not loaded, the space between the photosensitive drum 4 and the developing roller 11 is closed by the closing member 44. A rocking lever 45 is rocked in a direction shown by an arrow with the loading of the cartridge 1, and the member 44 is retreated in the retreat recessed part 3a of a waste toner casing 3. By pulling out the cartridge 1, the lever 45 is rocked by a torsion spring 47 and the space between the photosensitive drum 4 and the roller 11 is perfectly closed by the member 44. Thus, a device main body and the peripheral part thereof are prevented from being contaminated by the developer leaked out in the case of loading/ unloading the cartridge 1.

CONSTITUTION:The reader is provided with plural variable gain circuits 2 amplifying or attenuating a read picture signal of an image sensor by a preset gain, a selection circuit 3 selecting and outputting a read picture signal outputted from the circuit 2 according to a prescribed sequence and a shading correction circuit 4 correcting the shading distortion included in an output signal from the selection circuit 3. Since the distortion correction is applied by the plural variable gain circuits 2 and the selection circuit 3 in the stage of an analog signal in this way, a multiplier, an A/D converter and a fixed distortion correction signal generator or the like are omitted and the distortion collection processing is applied with simple circuit constitution with low cost.
