    • PURPOSE: To obtain a porous sol-gel film having excellent holding power, adhesiveness, etc., by subjecting a metal alkoxide to hydrolysis and dehydrative condensation, mixing the obtained sol solution with a suspension of fine particles, applying the mixture to a surface of a glass substrate and sintering the coating layer. CONSTITUTION: A sol solution is prepared by the hydrolysis and the dehydrative condensation of a metal alkoxide compound (e.g. monomethyl alkoxide of silicon). Separately, fine particles having a decomposition temperature lower than that of the solid component of the sol solution (e.g. fluororesin particles) or a suspension of the fine particles is mixed with a solvent (e.g. methyl alcohol) to obtain a suspension solution. The sol solution is mixed with the suspension solution and the obtained coating liquid is applied to a surface of a glass substrate and sintered at a temperature higher than the decomposition temperature of the fine particles to obtain a sol-gel film composed of a thin surface layer having fine porous structure. The glass having the sol-gel film is suitable as a window material for building, various glass articles, etc.

    • PURPOSE:To make any useless light for a succeeding car so as not to be diffracted by an extraneous light by sticking a protective film, coated with an antireflecting layer, fast to the surface of a hologram sheet installed at the inside of a single plate pane of glass. CONSTITUTION:A hologram sheet 1 is installed at the inside of a single plate pane 4, and a protective film coated with an antireflecting layer 2 is stuck fast to a surface of this hologram sheet 1. With this constitution, any possible reflection of an extraneous light at an interface with air is kept back, while such a fear that an amount of reincidence of reflected light gets into the hologram sheet 1 is held down to the utmost, and the extent of diffraction to the rear such as a succeeding car or the like is reduced, insomuch that there is no hindrance from the practical standpoint. In addition, since any reflection of a light out of a regenerative light source at the surface of an uppermost part of the inside pane is reduced and it is efficiently made to be incident into the hologram sheet 1, a utilization factor of irradiated light from the regenerative light source is well improved, and thus display is yet more lightened in this way.

    • PURPOSE:To arbitrarily select the position of a light source and to completely display a pattern by interposing a mask plate formed with the patterns of a part to allow the transmission of the light from the light source as diffused light and a part to prohibit the transmission thereof between a transmission type hologram sheet and the light source. CONSTITUTION:The mask plate 3 which is formed with the pattern of, for example, 'STOP' or the like and is formed of the pattern part as a light transmission part 3a and the other part as a light opaque part 3b is formed. The transmission type hologram sheet 2 is provided as a high mount stop lamp on the sandwich surface side of sandwich glass 12 and this glass is mounted as a rear windshield for automobiles. The mask plate 3 is integrated with the light source 1 and a red filter 13 and is provided atop a rear parcel 14. The light from the light source 1 is projected as spherical waves of a red color to the mask plate 3. The part formed with the STOP of this mask plate 3 allows the light as the diffused light and the diffused light is diffracted to the human eyes 4 so that the red word STOP is visually recognized by the eyes 4 of the man on the side opposite from the light source 1, for example, the driver of a succeeding vehicle.
