    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electronic component which can reduce a combined height size of a knob and a rotator when the knob is installed integrally to the rotator.
      SOLUTION: The rotary electronic component 1 has a fixing member 20; a rotator 30 pivoted rotatably to the fixing member 20; a knob 70 which is installed on an outer circumferential side surface of the rotator 30, and rotates integrally with the rotator 30; and an electrical functional part comprising a slidable contact pattern 13 provided to the fixing member 20 side, and a slider 50 having a contact 53 provided to the rotator 30 side. Further, the component 1 is constituted to change its electrical output as the contact 53 is in slidable contact on the slidable contact pattern 13 in accordance with rotation of the rotator 30. A knob installation surface 35 is formed planar for installing the knob 70 provided to an outer circumferential side surface of the rotator 30. The knob 70 is formed to a shape having a housing part 72 for housing a part of the rotator 30 to an inside thereof covering the knob installation surface 35.
