    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking mechanism for a button case capable of producing at low cost and miniaturizing and being in a simple structure and facilitating an assembling operation.
      SOLUTION: A case 20 includes a main body 21, a control circuit board 22, a control switch 23, and buttons 24. The locking mechanism 30 limits control of an ON and OFF state of the control circuit board 22 of the control switch 23. The locking mechanism 30 has a lock switch 31, a pivot button 32, and a lock body. The lock switch 31 is electrically connected with the control switch 23 in series, and is located at one position between an ON position and an OFF position. The lock body is arranged in a convex shape at one end of a pin so as to shift from an axis of the pin of the pivot button 32, and can move between a lock position and a release position according to rotation of the pivot button 32.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an operator to quickly perform correct input by retreating at least one of plural operation members in the interior of a notch of a front panel through a retractor. SOLUTION: A pinion 22 translationally moves a rack 20 in the direction almost in parallel to a guide rail 19 by rotation of a worm driving device of an actuating motor 9. When a switch casing 15 is moved backward together with a rod-shaped actuating part 32, the rod-shaped actuating part 32 having a head part 6 is retracted in the interior of a casing 23 up to a degree that the head part 6 reaches the rear of a notch 3. In this case, a cover 5 automatically reaches this side of the notch 3. Therefore, a hand cannot touch the head part 6 of the actuating part 32. On the other hand, a key 1 is moved forward along the guide rail 19 together with the switch casing 15 by opposite directional translational motion. Therefore, the head part 6 presses a side part of the cover 5, and penetrates through the notch 3, and a front panel 4, in this turn, and the head part 6 of a push key projects from a front panel 4 so that an operator can operate it.

    • PURPOSE:To lock the other key than an effective key by locking a key-top to each key switch and providing a stopper for preventing a key from being pushed in and means for controlling it. CONSTITUTION:An input to a key-board is sent to a menu controlling section through a key data reading section and the menu controlling section allows a stopper controlling section to lock up the other key than indicated in a menu. Namely, it is feasible to lock the other key than indicated in the menu by providing a solenoid 21 arranged in a key switch and a stopper 22 for preventing a key from being pushed down with excitation of the solenoid. For instance, when an electric current flows into the solenoid 21, the stopper 22 projects underneath a part 23 of key-top shaft to prevent a key from being pushed down; in the other words, a key is locked. Thereby, even when an operator attempts pushing down an ineffective key, it is feasible to prevent the input of ineffective key data in advance, so that the simplification and speed-up in processing operation of an information processing apparatus can be attained.
